Jubilee Party - Rio Grande do Sul

The Jubilee Party, which has been held since 1977, took place in Porto Alegre on November 29th at Grêmio Náutico União (GNU) and in Florianópolis on December 9th at Lagoa Iate Clube (LIC). Both events paid homage to professionals who had been more than 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years with the company.

In Rio Grande do Sul, 300 employees were honored. Among them was Holmes Aquino, head of operations Rádio Gaúcha, who received a special distinction for being the longest-serving member in the company: 50 years. Homage was also paid to the Zero Hora cartoonist and columnist Marco Aurélio for 40 years of service, Zero Hora columnist Luis Fernando Verissimo for 35 years of service, and Gaúcha Radio sports commentator Kenny Braga for 30 years of service.

Jubilee Party - Santa Catarina

In Santa Catarina, 106 employees were honored. Edson Luis Nunes, announcer of Itapema Florianópolis Radio, José Manuel Pacheco, security agent of RBS TV Criciúma, and Odemar de Andrade Filho, driver of RBS TV Florianópolis, received a distinction for their 30 years of service for the Group. During the event, RBS TV Centro Oeste, represented by Sérgio Cóssio, was honored for being the Group unit in Santa Catarina that best promoted the institutional flagship "Crack, Nem Pensar", and Grupo Clima do Santa received a distinction for organizing the Annual Olympic Games for the fifth year, which promotes and strengthens integration among members.

Family Day

On Family Day, which is celebrated in 80 of the Group's units in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasília, employees' family members are welcomed, thereby promoting the integration of families with the company. Each unit held its own event. In Porto Alegre and Florianópolis, the date was celebrated on December 10th.

In addition to the activities conducted during the day, employees' children aged from 0 to 12 got gifts.

Christmas Kit

The Christmas Kit is given out to all Grupo RBS's members so the company may be present in major end-of-year celebrations, including Christmas and New Year's Eve. In 2010, 6,700 kits were distributed.

Espaço Aprender

Espaço Aprender is an educational manager software program that teaches online courses by means of virtual interaction between the student and the teacher (tutor), allowing for the training of users and knowledge sharing, and also the monitoring of the student by managers. It has been developed and is available to Grupo RBS employees in order to promote professional empowerment for everyone.
